Treat yourself to three hours of support, recovery and healing under the expert guidance of 2 of Galway’s most experienced postnatal wellbeing professionals. 

This will be a nurturing  and holistic way to support you at a precious time in your life. The tools and resources you will acquire in this workshop will empower you to understand that healing post birth involves physical, mental, emotional and spiritual elements. You will be able to employ the techniques to support you for not only parenting but for all of your life stages to come.  Delicious teas, treats and a nourishing lunch are all included.

Practices discussed and embodied will be :
Postnatal nutrition - eating to heal your recovery rather than weight loss
Simple mobility and strengthening exercises to improve postnatal health and recovery 
Yoga postures to improve recovery and support the new mum
Recognising stressors and stress patterns and learning simple stress reduction techniques 
Sleep support through experienced guided relaxation exercises
Pelvic health and awareness 

A nutritious lunch, snacks and teas are all included. Lots of videos , recordings handouts and other resources will be provided.

Please wear comfortable clothes for ease of movement, and bring a yoga mat and some water. Herbal teas and healthy nibbles will be provided afterwards.

A little about your teachers:
With over twenty years of teaching experience, and having trained and taught all over the world, Laragh Cunningham brings an unrivalled level of expertise, knowledge and compassion to her classes and workshops. Both informative and practical, Laragh’s workshops are all underpinned by her core belief that everyone should experience the benefits of yoga and recovery through accessible movement and relaxation techniques.

Laragh is the co-founder of The Yoga Shala, Yo!Fit and SoulMoves. She is also a Yoga Alliance Advanced Yoga Teacher Trainer, a certified Prenatal, Postnatal and Womb Yoga Teacher, and a certified Doula and Postnatal Doula. She is also a certified Yoga Nidra and Sleep Recovery Professional and BWY certified Menopause Yoga Instructor. Despite all of her experience, Laragh always strives to add more knowledge and expertise to her teachings with further training.

Sarah Thornton is a Personal Trainer with over 17 years of experience. She specializes in health and fitness for women at all stages of life with particular interest in the peri to post menopausal years. Changing hormones can have a huge impact on our health, energy, motivation to exercise and healthy weight management. Sarah will recommend appropriate lifestyle strategies to make the best of our mid life years and beyond.

Sarah will explain the correct exercises and movement formula for postpartum health and help answer the questions related to the importance of strength exercises, cardio, flexibility, mobility and pelvic floor health. She will also explore what ingredients are essential for postpartum nutrition and how to improve our gut health.
