Ask The Doctor: Midlife Health

€10.00

Saturday April 18th, 10am - 11:30am

There's a lot happening in midlife, and most of us have a list of questions we've never quite managed to ask: Maybe the appointment was too short. Maybe we didn't know how to put it into words. Maybe we weren't even sure it was worth asking. Or maybe we never raised the subject to begin with.

This is your opportunity to ask them. Join us at the SoulMoves Studio for an open, honest conversation with Dr. Sarah Cahill of LifeCycle Women's Health Clinic, Galway - a GP and women's midlife health expert. This isn't a talk about medication or checklists. It's a real conversation about what midlife actually feels like - the broken sleep, the brain fog, the mood swings, the body changes, the things you Googled at midnight and still aren't sure about. Whether you're in perimenopause, post-menopause, or just wondering what on earth is going on or what to expect, this talk is for you.

Come with your questions. Leave with clarity, reassurance, and the confidence to advocate for your own health.

This talk is part of our SoulMoves Community Outreach Programme, so is priced at €10. We are passionate about the importance of women’s health, and this event is open to all members of the public.

A little about Dr. Sarah Cahill:
Salthill native, Sarah Cahill studied medicine in the graduate program in the University of Limerick, graduating in 2013. After working as a junior doctor in a hospital setting, she commenced the GP training scheme in 2016. She developed an interest in Women's Health during her GP attachments in the latter years of the GP scheme. This interest has grown since completing her GP training in 2020. She has completed extra studies in the areas of contraception, community gynaecology menopause. She is qualified in contraceptive intrauterine coil and implant insertion. She is a registered British Menopause Society menopause specialist.

She worked for 2 years in the Galway Family Planning Clinic where she gained a great depth of experience in women's health. This continued as she looked after women and their female-specific health needs in a GP setting.

She set up LifeCycle Women's Health Clinic in June 2023. She expanded her services and moved to her own premises in December 2023. She saw a need for women to be able to access in-depth consultations, with more time to discuss their concerns than she was able to offer as a busy GP.

PLEASE NOTE: This talk is non-refundable. However you can transfer your space to someone else. And please let us know if you find that you cannot attend the talk, as we often have a waiting list for talks and workshops.
